The name Rimfaxe originates from Norse mythology.
It is the name of Nat's (English word Night) horse. Rimfaxe pulls up the new day, riding across the sky. In another interpretation Rimfaxe pulls the wagon with the moon, whereas Skimfaxe pulls the wagon with the sun.
